Howdy All and good evening!
Instead of a card tonight, I thought I would share with you this cute little hat and scarf set I crocheted. I used a pattern for the pumpkin hat that I found on FaveCrafts.com
and then I decided to add a scarf. I just made it up without a pattern to match the hat! How cute is this? I sent it to my son's friend who just had a baby girl along with the card that I made. He posted a pic on Facebook with her wearing them to go on her first walk in the stroller at 8 days old! She looked absolutely precious! The best part about this project is that it took me lest than 5 hours (while watching t.v.) When I packaged them up to send in the mail I even made a tag to attach to it.
Welp, that's what I have for tonight! Thanks a bunch for stoppin' by! See you again soon!
These are a FEW of my Favorite things! ~A place to share my creative side and the things that I love~

FS194 CASEing Lynette
Howdy and good afternoon!
I've got a couple of quick cards for you today that I created for this week's Featured Stamper Challenge - FS194 - . Lynette, aka 'LynniePoo' on SCS, has a beautiful gallery full of Clean And Simple cards! I had a hard time narrowing down which card I wanted to CASE. This is the card that I chose: 'For My DH's Birthday'.
I kept the same layout and used the same dry embossing technique that Lynette used. I changed everything else! Here is my supply list:
STAMPS: Well Scripted, Cute & Curly (SU!)
PAPER: Very Vanilla, Regal Rose (SU!)
INK: Pretty in Pink (SU!)
THE REST: Cuttle Bug and embossing folder; gems and buttons (unknowm from my stash)
That's what I have for now! Thanks a bunch for stoppin' by! See you again soon!

SC303 Baby Congrats
I played along with this week's Sketch Challenge - SC303- over at SCS. My oldest son's best friend from high school just became a daddy and I wanted to send him and his wife my congratulations. I turned the sketch onto it's side because I just had to use this adorable stamp that I finally got from SU! I love pachyderms and this momma and her baby are the just the sweetest! Here is my supply list:
STAMPS: Baby Steps (SU!)
PAPER: Whisper White (SU!); pink (MS); pattern paper (DCWV)
INK & MARKERS: Regal Rose, Pear Pizzazz (Markers - SU!)
THE REST: Ribbon, dimensionals, two-step owl punch (SU!); Nesties (Spellbinders); Big Shot (Sizzix); Button, pink gems, embroidery floss (from my stash)
I inked up my stamp using markers. I stamped it a second time on scrap paper and cut out the ears and popped them up on dimensionals. The heart was punched from pattern paper using just the heart from the 2-step owl punch and is also popped up.

Mojo Monday 161, HYCCT14 Merry Pookie
Howdy and good morning!
I didn't get any stampin' done yesterday, but I did make a card on Monday for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch #161 and the HYCCT14 - Ribbon, Ribbon, Ribbon - to use ribbon on your card. This was an interesting sketch to work with and it took me a few minutes to decide how I was going to go about creating my cards! I had the ribbon and paper picked out that I wanted to use and this little Pookie stamp was screaming "pick me- pick me" so I did! He is just so cute! I made 2 cards, one to send with my other cards for the Hope You Can Cling To Challenge and one to send to Operation Write Home.

Two Challenge Birthday Wishes And Some Organization
Howdy and Good Evening,
I finally got to stamp today for the first time in the past 4 days! Boy, did I need that! This card I created for 2 challenges; The Featured Stamper FS193 and Pals Paper Arts PPA64. This week's Featured Stamper is IMAMUTTNUT aka Laurie and she has a beautiful gallery of cards. Here is the card that I chose to CASE. I used her same basic layout and the same stamp set. I changed the color combo, my sentiment embellishment, and I used an embossing folder to texturize my colored cardstock. The colors that I chose were inspired by the photo provided for the PPA64 challenge. Supplies used: (All products are Stampin' Up!)
STAMPS: Watercolor Trio
PAPER: Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede
INKS: Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede, Peach Parfait
THE REST: Ribbon, brads, oval punch, Big Shot, Lots of Tags Sizzlit die, Square Lattice embossing folder, dimensionals
One of the reasons I haven't stamped in a few days is because I finally got all of the new colors of cardstock and ink pads from SU! after their Color Renovation this summer. I had stacks of old and new cardstock and new and old ink pads all over my stampin' space. So, I HAD to get organized because I couldn't stand the chaos any more!

The bottom drawer has the Brights, Regals and Subtles color families and the top drawer has the Neutrals, In Colors and Basics color families . I love having them all neat, organized and labelled! I also revamped my color caddy and labelled all of my stamp pads! It felt so good to sit down at my stampin' table and have that mess taken care of!! Woot! Woot!

SC301 Mr. Twigster
Howdy and good evening!
I've got a couple of cards tonight that I made for this week's Sketch Challenge, SC301, over at SCS. Mr. Twigster is one of my favorite snowmen stamps. I am a sucker for a cute snowman, but it makes me laugh at myself because I don't really care for snow! LOL! That's how I wound up in Las Vegas a year ago, to get away from all the snow and cold weather back in Upstate New York!
Here is my supply list:
STAMPS: Mr. Twigster (SU!)
PAPER: Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss (SU!); red cs (DCWV); Just Dreamy card pack and short stack with glitter (My Mind's Eye)
INK & MARKERS: SU!
THE REST: ribbons, border punch (SU!); baubles
I picked this MME box of cards up for 50% off because I knew I had the matching stack of paper at home and they are perfect for making quick cards! Added bonus - they came with envies too! a definite bargin with 50 cards and envies for $5! I even made Christmas cards and it's not a christmas line! Woot! Woot!
OK...time to calm down...
Welp, that's it for now! Thanks for stoppin' by!

HYCCT03 & HYCCT08 Challenge Cards
Howdy and good mornin'!
I was very busy creating last night while watching t.v. This morning I have two cards to show you that I made for the Hope You Can Cling To challenges going on all month over at SCS to support Breast Cancer Awareness month. If you haven't already done so, go check it out! My first card is for HYCCT03 - Uncentimental - to create a card without a sentiment. This really wasn't too much of a challenge for me because I very often create such cards for Operation Write Home to make them more versatile.
Here is my supply list:
STAMPS: Patterned Pines (SU!)
PAPER: Whisper White, Garden Green, Pink Passion (SU!); Happy Holidays designer paper (FancyPantsDesigns)
MARKERS: Garden Green, Tempting Turquoise, Pink Passion, Rose Red (SU!)
THE REST: Bigz Top Note die and Big Shot, dimensionals (SU!); Rhinestone gems (unknown)
I used markers to ink up my stamps. I stamped the trees twice Once on the diecut panel and again on a scrap of WW cs and then cut them out and popped them up! I am loving how this turned out!!
My second card is for HYCCT08 - Fab Flower Power - to use a flower on your card that has been handmade. So, I whipped up this little crocheted pink flower to attach to my card.
Here is my supply list:
STAMPS: Be Yourself (CTMH)
PAPER: Whisper White, Certainly Celery (SU!); Bon Bon Mat Deck (K&Company)
INK & MARKERS: Certainly Celery, Regal Rose (SU!)
THE REST: Handmade crochet flower; Button (basicgrey); rickrack, embroidery thread
Welp! That's it for now. I gotta get some housework done, but then I will be back! Thanks a bunch for stoppin' by! See you again real soon!

CAS87 & HYCCT05 Give Thanks
Howdy and good afternoon!
I've got a quick card for you today that I created for two challenges over at SCS. The first challenge was yesterday's Clean and Simple- CAS87- which was to use a new to me technique - Faux Letterpress. Check out the link to see how this is done. It is very easy and gives awesome results. You basically ink up one side of an embossing folder before slipping your cardstock in and running it through your Cuttlebug or Big Shot!
Just look at how rustic my kraft background layer looks! Cool, huh?!
Then for the second challenge I went to today's Hope You Can Cling To - HYCCT05 - Twine Time. The challenge was to use twine in a fun and unusual way. I think it adds lots more 'rusticness' (if that is a word) to my cute little log cabin. I love twine as an embellishment! It looks great and it is very economical. You can grab a ball at your local craft store or hardware store. The twine I used here is actually a natural Jute twine that I found at my local Hobby Lobby. Here is my supply list for this card:
STAMPS: Backwoods, Happy Harmony (SU!)
PAPER: Bravo Burgandy, Kraft (now called Crumbcake), Whisper White (SU!)
INK and MARKERS: Bravo Burgandy, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Basic Gray (markers-SU!); Tim Holtz walnut stain Distress Ink (Ranger)
THE REST: Jute twine; Cuttlebug & embossing folder (provo craft); circle punches; sponge, distressing tool (SU!)
I used my SU! distressing tool to roughen all the edges of my cardstock and then sponged the edges with the brown inks . My sentiment circles were also crinkled to add to the aged look. I will be sending this card to Operation Write Home (see my blinkie link on my sidebar). I thought it was a great masucline card that a hero could send to their dad, brother or uncle etc.
Welp! That's all for now. I gotta go check on the laundry! Thanks a bunch for stoppin' by! See you again soon!

TESC130 Sending Sunshine
Howdy and good evening!
There are so many challenges out there in the cardmaking world and so little time!! Ok...I loved this week's Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #130 so I just had to make sure that I played along. My daughter, Annalee, went camping 2 weeks ago and got bit by a tick. After her 2nd trip to the MD it was determined that she has Lyme disease. Check out the photo at the bottom of this post! She hasn't been feeling well with all that comes from having this. I talk with here everyday, but I wanted to let her know how much I love her and wish I could be with her to make it all better! She loves butterflies so I decided to use supplies from my August Key Ingredients kit from Taylored Expressions. Check out the TE store to see how you can subscribe to get these kits and shop for all of the wonderful stamp sets and accessories Taylor has to offer! The stamp set I used here is called Garden Party Blooms - so cute!! The designer papers are from Echo Park's Walk in the Park! Fun-fun-fun!! I really hope this does brighten my daughter's day! This went in the mail today!
That's what I've got so far! I am off to see what challenges I can get in over at SCS!!
Thanks a bunch for stoppin' by! See you again soon!!

Two More Cards For Hope You Can Cling To
Howdy! Okay, I have been stamping, stamping, stamping! In this post I am showing the cards I made yesterday as part of World Card Making Day over at SCS. These were created for the Hope You Can Cling To challenges. This first card was for the HYCCT02B challenge - Lingerie Inspired. I thought it would be fun to created a pretty bra from punches since I don't own any lingerie stamps. I really like how this came out! It's so pretty and girly! And that sentiment from Taylored Expressions was perfect! Here is my supply list:
STAMPS: Taylored Expressions
PAPER: Whisper White, Regal Rose, Patterns Pack II (SU!)
INK: SU!
THE REST: Punches (Marvy, SU!, EK); ribbon, lace rhinestone gems all from my Non-SU! stash
For my next card (I actually made 2) I used the HYCCT02C - Bring in the Brown as well as the Stamping 411 Saturday Sketch Challenge #171. I think I may use this card as a prototye for one of my Christmas cards this year! Definitely a fun sketch to work with and I thought this dark brown satin ribbon and baubles were the perfect touch for the Bring in the Brown challenge! Here is my supply list:
STAMPS: Wishing You Cheer (SU!)
PAPER: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip (SU!); Figgy Pudding designer paper (Basic Grey)
INK and MARKERS: SU!
THE REST: Stickles (Ranger); Ribbon (Michaels); baubles (unknown)
All of these cards will be donated! Please check out the links in this post as well as the links in my left side bar to see how you can participate!
Welp...back to stamping I go. I just finished another challenge card over at SCS and I gotta take some pics, so hopefully I will be back later to add another post!
Thanks a bunch for stoppin' by! See you again real soon!

I decided to check out what was happening over at SCS in honor of such a fun day and they are hosting a bunch of challenges - Hope You Can Cling To - in partnership with the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center for a month long card drive to benefit those affected by breast cancer. Here is my first challenge card, HYCCT02A, to create a pink holiday card.
There are 2 more challenges today that I am going to try to get to and then they will have a new challenge each day for the month of October. I will be sending my cards to this card drive for a very worthy cause which will benefit patients being treated for breast cancer and their families. Please check out the above links and I hope you can find some time to paticipate to this cause!
Well, I am off to create some more cards! Thanks a bunch for stoppin' by!

SC300 Turkey Day
Good evening All,
I thought I would create something fun for Thanksgiving and what could be more fun than a few whimsical turkeys?! These were created completely from punches so they were easy-peasy. I made most of them with 10mm wiggle eyes, but I ran out so 2 have eyes made with punches. An added bonus was that I made them from scraps from my Earth Elements scrap pile. I then used this week's sketch challenge, SC300, for my background! I just love how they turned out and I have already mailed them with several other cards to Operation Write Home in time for the troops to use to send home to their loved ones for Thanksgiving.
Here is my supply list (all products are Stampin' Up! except for the wiggle eyes)
NO STAMPS USED:
PAPER: Chocolate chip, Whisper White, More Mustard, Really Rust, Pumpkin Pie, Close to Cocoa, Ruby Red, Autumn Vine DSP
NO INK or MARKERS:
THE REST: brads, circle punches(1-3/4", 1", 1/2", 1/4"), Heart to Heart punch, snowflake punch, Boho Blossoms punch, 5-petal Flower punch, Square Lattice embossing folder, Big Shot
Well, that is it for tonight. It feels good to be able to post ot my blog after spending a couple days out of commission with some sort of stomach bug, yucky!
Thanks a bunch for stoppin' by! See you again real soon!
