Mojo Monday 161, HYCCT14 Merry Pookie
I didn't get any stampin' done yesterday, but I did make a card on Monday for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch #161 and the HYCCT14 - Ribbon, Ribbon, Ribbon - to use ribbon on your card. This was an interesting sketch to work with and it took me a few minutes to decide how I was going to go about creating my cards! I had the ribbon and paper picked out that I wanted to use and this little Pookie stamp was screaming "pick me- pick me" so I did! He is just so cute!
I made 2 cards, one to send with my other cards for the Hope You Can Cling To Challenge and one to send to Operation Write Home.Saturday, October 9, 2010
SC301 Mr. Twigster
I've got a couple of cards tonight that I made for this week's Sketch Challenge, SC301, over at SCS. Mr. Twigster is one of my favorite snowmen stamps. I am a sucker for a cute snowman, but it makes me laugh at myself because I don't really care for snow! LOL! That's how I wound up in Las Vegas a year ago, to get away from all the snow and cold weather back in Upstate New York!
Here is my supply list:
STAMPS: Mr. Twigster (SU!)
PAPER: Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss (SU!); red cs (DCWV); Just Dreamy
INK & MARKERS: SU!
THE REST: ribbons, border punch (SU!); baubles
I picked this MME box of cards up for 50% off because I knew I had the matching stack of paper at home and they are perfect for making quick cards! Added bonus - they came with envies too! a definite bargin with 50 cards and envies for $5! I even made Christmas cards and it's not a christmas line! Woot! Woot!
OK...time to calm down...
Welp, that's it for now! Thanks for stoppin' by!
See you again soon!

Mojo Monday 157 and Halloween cards for OWH
Good day,I finally got around to this week's Mojo Monday Sketch challenge #157. I needed to create a card for my youngest son's girlfriend, Maddy, and I wanted it to reflect her bright and unique personality! This sketch was perfect! Of course it took way too long to complete and I went through about 4 other image panels before settling on this cute little trio of flowers. And even then I originally just had them colored in with my SU! markers and it still wasn't quite right, so I added the buttons. Whew! Mucho better!
Here is the quick supply list:
Cardstock, circle punches,
I've also posted a couple of photos of some of the Halloween cards that I sent to Operation Write Home last week. I still have more to show you as the week goes on! These were a few of the quicker, easier ones that I did using
STAMPS: Tag Time (SU!)
PAPER: Whisper White (SU!); Boo to You designer paper (My Mind's Eye); black and orange cs from my non SU! stash
INK and MARKERS: SU!
THE REST: Marvy punches, brads and ribbons from my non-SU! stash
Well, that's it for right now! Thanks a bunch for stoppin' by and checkin' out what I've been up to!
Please be sure to stop back again soon to see some more challenge cards and halloween and fall cards!

SC258 and Some Quick Pics
It looks like this will most likely be my last post before Christmas (if everything goes as planned). I will be flying back to New York tomorrow and hopefully staying until the 25th or so, but that depends on when the banks can close on our house here in Las Vegas. We will need to come back for that, but no date has been set...I was able to fit in some mad stamping while I was packing up the apartment, I just wanted to make sure I had enough Christmas cards made to take back with me cuz now my stamping stuff is sitting in a storage facility :( This first pic is of the cards I made using this week's Sketch
For the gift card holders I used a Changito monkey and a Penguin Pals stamp by Stampendous and the 2 snowman image is a stamp that I got from the $1 bin at either Michael's or Joann's last year. The sentiment inside is from a SU! set.
Well, that is all I have time for, I got a couple more things to do fast-fast and then I gotta shutdown my PC and prepare it for storage. Someday I hope to get a laptop so that I can have a computer with me all the time...someday. Happy Holidays to you all and wish me luck with the purchase of our house here in Las Vegas as well as the sale of our house
Thanks a bunch for taking time to stop by!!
