August Scrapbook Club Pages 1 & 2

Howdy All!
I just had my September Scrapbook Club a couple nights ago, but I still need to post my August pages first! So, today I have pages 1 and 2 from my August Scrapbook Club, titled "It's a Boy thing".
I have a few ladies in my Club that have little boys so I wanted to do a layout that would speak to them. I have two boys myself and my youngest son loved construction vehicles when he was a  little boy. When we would drive by a construction site he always wanted to stop and look at all the "messies" as he would call them. Too cute!
I used the Chevron Textured Impressions embossing folder from the 2012 - 2013 Stampin' Up! catalog and the Woodgrain Textured Impressions embossing folder from the Holiday Catalog to give these pages some way cool texture!
I glued strips of Basic Black cardstock onto pieces of Summer Starfruit to create the background for my title.
I used the I Dig You stamp set for my construction vehicles. The colors I chose were Pumpkin Pie, Basic Gray, Summer Starfruit, Ridinghood Red, Basic Black, Soft Suede, and Whisper White.
Well, That's it for now!
Thanks a bunch for stoppin' by!

Christmas Card Swap

Howdy All!
Today I have some pics of the Christmas card that I made for Jill Olsen's Stampin' Up! event in St. George.
I fell in love with this cute little snowman from the No Peeking stamp set! I used my SU! markers to ink him up and stamp him and then added some Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details(Holiday catalog) to give him some bling! I got my color inspiration from the Snow Festival designer series paper (holiday catalog).

Here is my supply list (all products are Stampin' Up!):

STAMPS: No Peeking, Owl Occasions - sentiment(Holiday catalog)

PAPER:  Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, Primrose Petals, Whisper White, Snow Festival dsp

INK & MARKERS:  Basic Black, Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler

THE REST:  Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details, Whisper White/Crumb Cake Taffeta ribbon, Argyle/Perfect Polka Dots embossing folders, 1-3/4" circle punch, 2-3/8" Scallop circle punch, 1" Square punch

That's it for today!
Thanks a bunch for stoppin' by!

A Flood and Some Swaps

 Howdy All!
I know I have been missing for the past month after I was on a roll with getting caught up with my postings. My basement was flooded when we had some relentless downpours last month. I know I live in Las Vegas and the first thing people say is, "I didn't know houses had basements in Las Vegas?" to which I reply, "I know, but we are lucky enough to have one!" The second thing people say is, "How could your basement flood when you live in a desert?" To which I reply, "Exactly!" But, none-the-less, it did flood and that just happens to be where my crafting space is. I've got things back to working order, but still have more stuff to get organized again. Anywho...enough about that and on to much funner things!
This past weekend I was lucky enough to go to a wonderful stamping event put on by Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Jill Olsen. We had to make the 2 hour drive up to St. George, Utah, but it was worth it. Besides all of the tips and demos we received, and the 14 projects that we made we also had an opportunity to swap cards and projects. This is one of the cards that I made.
I really like how it turned out and I love the Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper from the Holiday Catalog.

Here is my supply list for this card (all products used are from Stampin' Up!):

STAMPS:  Spooky Bingo Bits, Tiny Tags, Mixed Medley(hostess set from the holiday catty)

PAPER:  Very Vanilla, Basic Black, More Mustard, Tangerine Tango, Basic Gray, Howlstooth & Scaringbone dsp

INK:  Basic Black, Basic Gray, Tangerine Tango

THE REST:  Spider Web embossing folder, Big Shot, 1-1/4" Scallop circle punch(holiday catty), 1" circle punch, Jewelry Tag punch, More Mustard 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon, 1/2" Striped Satin Ribbon(Holiday catty), Googlies(Holiday catty), Rhinestone Basic Jewels(colored with a black sharpie), Stampin' Dimensionals

That's it! Super cute, huh?
Be sure to stop back again soon to see the rest of my swaps as well as the super cool Swappin' Apron I made for myself and my girlfriends! I plan to get a tutorial of sorts prepared and I will get it posted next week for all the ladies that were asking me questions about it. Here is a sneak-peek of the one I made for myself.
