MOJO110 Holiday Wishes

Good evening All,
I am going to post a card I made today for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch #110.

I squeezed this in while getting ready to travel back to Upstate New York for 6 days. I love to start off my week with a good sketch challenge! Here is the recipe:

Stamps

  • Autumn Days - SU!
  • Wonderful Holiday - CTMH

Paper

  • Ruby Red, Whisper White - SU!
  • wassail designer paper - Basic Grey

Ink

  • Mellow Moss, Chocolate Chip - SU!

Accessories

  • 3/4" circle punch - SU!
  • Chocolate Chip 1/4" grosgrain ribbon
  • Many Marvelous Markers (always artichoke, chocolate chip) - SU!
  • mini brads - michaels
  • dimensionals - SU!
  • Clear Star Gelly Roll pen - Sakura

For the scallop circle around my image I use 3/4" punched circles and then popped it up on dimensionals. I used markers to ink up my image and then touched it up with the sparkly gelly roll pen. I love this Holiday paper line from Basic Grey. Thanks so much for stoppin' by. I will be back in a week! Send me good thoughts for no snow for my trip back east!

Two Cards for Thanksgiving

Happy day to you!
I have two cards to share today. The first one I created for today's Ways to Use It Challenge, WT241, over at SCS.
The Challenge was to use some Patchwork in our project design. I immediately thought of this technique that I like to use up leftover strips of cardstock and designer papers. Doesn't it look like a patchwork quilt? Check out how easy it is to create this. Here is my recipe: (All products are SU unless otherwise noted)
Stamps: The More The Merrier
Paper: Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, DCWV Indian Summer Fall Matstack
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango
Accessories: Big Shot, Swiss Dots embossing folder (provo craft), Top Note die, 1/4" choc. chip grosgrain ribbon, circle punches, dimensionals, blender pens
My second project is another card using yesterday's Sketch Challenge over at SCS. I liked it so much I had to make a second project! When I first saw this stamp set I knew I had to have it! I just love all the 'sticks and twigs' as I like to call them. You can create so many different scenes. Here is my recipe (again, all products are SU! unless otherwise noted):
Stamps: Autumn Days, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, DCWV Indian Summer Fall Matstack
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry, Close to Cocoa
Accessories: SU! many markers, large oval and scallop oval punches, Choc. chip 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, brad(Michaels), dimensionals
Okay, that all I have for now. I am having fun with all these gorgeous fall colors. Thanks a bunch for stoppin' by!! See you again, soon!

Sketch Challenge 251 Very Merry Snowmen

Good morning,
The card I am posting was inspired by today's SCS's Sketch Challenge. I just love layering beautiful designer papers! And these snowmen are cute enough to make anyone smile! Here is my recipe (all products are SU! unless otherwise noted):

Stamps
  • The More The Merrier
  • Short & Sweet

Paper

  • Chocolate Chip
  • Old Olive
  • watercolor paper (Strathmore)
  • Merry Moments designer series paper

Ink

  • Black Stazon
  • Versamark
  • Old Olive
  • Chocolate chip
  • Garden Green
  • Real Red
  • Pumpkin Pie
  • Bashful Blue

Accessories

  • 3/4" Real Red Polka dot grosgrain ribbon
  • White Stampin' emboss powder
  • Heat tool
  • Big Shot
  • Finial Press textured impressions embossing folder
  • Aqua Painter
  • Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen (Sakura)

I have to say that my watercoloring isn't my best and my heat embossed sentiment looks a little sloppy. I love the touch of sparkle the clear star gelly roller pen gives to my image.

Thanks a bunch for stoppin' by! come back soon!

TESC87 A Kind Word Get Well

Good morning fellow papercrafters! Many of you are probably alot like me in that I like to blog hop to get inspiration and see what other papercrafters are up to. One blog that I visit often is the Taylored Expressions blog. You so need to stop by and check out what Taylor is up to! I needed to make a get well card for a friend and fellow SU! demo who had surgery last week and is in recovery. I loved the sketch challenge that Taylor had posted and that was the starting point for my card.

I just love the little girls in the A Kind Word set by Stampin' Up! They are so fun to color.

Here is the recipe for my card (all products are Stampin' Up!):

Stamps

  • A Kind Word

  • Thoughts & Prayers

Paper

  • Old Olive

  • Rich Razzleberry

  • Whisper White

  • Cottage Wall designer series paper

Ink

  • Stazon Black

  • Rich Razzleberry

  • Old Olive

  • Orchid Opulence

  • Soft Suede

  • Crushed Curry

  • Dusty DurangeCreamy Caramel

Accessories

  • Blender pens

  • 1/2" Rich Razzleberry Polka-Dot grosgrain ribbon

  • Scallop Edge punch

  • Dimensionals

I colored the image using blender pens and my classic ink pad lids. Love it! the sentiments are popped up on dimensionals.

Well, I need to get this in the mail cuz it needs to travel from Nevada to New York which will take about a week. Thanks so much for stoppin' by today!

PPA12 Merry Moments Dasher

Good afternoon,
I have a beautiful Christmas card to post today. It's Thursday, and that means a new challenge over at the Pals Paper Arts blog. This was a sketch challenge and I just love it! All of the samples are just so wonderful, you should definitely check it out!
Here is my card. Don't you just love the reindeer image?
Here is the recipe (all products are by Stampin' Up!):

Stamps
  • Dasher
  • Christmas Punch

Paper

  • Chocolate Chip
  • Old Olive
  • Real Red
  • Very Vanilla
  • Merry Moments designer series paper

Ink

  • Chocolate Chip
  • Garden Green

Accessories

  • Old Olive 5/8" grosgrain ribbon
  • 2-way glue pen
  • Dazzling Diamonds stampin' glitter
  • silver brads
  • Boho Blossoms punch
  • dimensionals

After stamping the Dasher image in chocolate chip ink, I ran my 2-way glue pen over the antlers and applied the dazzling diamonds. The 3 snowflakes are a single stamp from the Christmas Punch stamp set that coordinates with the boho blossoms punch, very cool! They are popped up on dimensionals after a brad was added to each one. Well, that's all I have for now! Thanks a bunch for stoppin' by!!

PPA11 and LSC241

Good afternoon! My card for today is the result of 2 challenges. This week's Pals Paper Arts challenge and SCS's weekly Limited Supply challenge. The PPA challenge #11 was a color challenge and we were to incorporate Perfect Plum, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie into our card design. I loved all the the design team's samples and just had to contribute myself. This is my first time actually uploading a card for PPA and I hope it is a worthy entry. For this week's Limited supply challenge we were to get back to basics and create a fall themed card using only paper, stamps and ink. (NO embellishments like ribbon, buttons or brads-yikes!) So, I went to work with both challenges in mind and I am pleased with my result.
Here is the recipe:

Stamps: Autumn Harvest, Sweet Centers (Stampin' Up!)

Paper: Perfect Plum, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Confetti White, Basic Black, Cast-a-Spell DSP (Stampin' Up!)

Ink: Basic Black, Markers (Stampin' Up!)

Tools: circle, scallop circle punches (Stampin' Up!), Top Note Die (Stampin' Up!), Big Shot ( Stampin' Up!/Sizzix), Cuttle Bug Folder (Provo Craft)

The pumpkin and leave images were stamped onto the dsp and then cut out using paper snips. I also used dimensionals to give my card a little depth. Thanks a bunch for stoppin' by!

SC249 Birthday Bee

Hello everyone,

I am back with another Sketch Challenge from the weekly challenges over at SCS. This is what I came up with. I used another one of my Bee images from Stampendous-so cute! Here is the recipe:

Stamps
  • Stampendous

Paper

  • Peacock Tail, Black - Martha Stewart
  • Designer paper - Basic Grey - Urban Prairie
  • Whisper White - Stampin' Up!

Ink

  • Stazon black

Accessories

  • Markers - Stampin' Up!
  • Brads - Stampin' Up!
  • Dimensionals - Stampin' Up!

This went together very quickly. I didn't add a sentiment yet, cuz I'm not sure who it is going to. I stamped just the balloon a second time, colored it in and cut it out and put it on a dimensional. I will definitely be making more cards using this layout! Well, that's all for now. Thanks for stoppi' by!

Hello,
It's once again Monday, which means a new Mojo Monday sketch to try out. This is sketch #107 and here is my card. This was a great sketch to show off some of my awesome designer papers that I have in my collection. Here is the recipe:

Stamps
  • perfectly clear stamps by Stampendous! (HAP BEE DAY)

Paper

  • Whisper White (SU!)
  • Orange Poppy, Fennel (Martha Stewart)
  • Just Dreamy (My Minds Eye short stack with glitter)

Ink

  • Stazon

Accessories

  • Markers (SU!)
  • Scallop edge punch (SU!)
  • Ribbon (Michaels)
  • Dew Drops ( the Robin's Nest)
  • Creative Memories Circle cutting system
  • Dimensionals (SU!)

I just love these little Bees from Stampendous, don't you? Okay, that's all I got for today. I didn't stamp over the weekend much as my husband and I are diligently searching for a home here in Las Vegas. Our goal is to be all settled before the holidays, so we haven't got a whole lot of time. Wish us luck! Thanks a bunch for stoppin' by!

Sketch Challenge 248

Good evening to you all,

I made this card yesterday for SCS's weekly sketch challenge #248. I have been so busy that I haven't had time to upload until now. It is much brighter than how it looks in the pic, but it's late and I don't have any good light. I am gonna make this quick. Here is the recipe: (all products are from Stampin' Up!)
Stamps
  • Great Friend

Paper

  • Rich Razzleberry
  • Melon Mambo
  • Razzleberry Lemonade DSP

Ink

  • Crushed Curry
  • Pumpkin Pie
  • Versa Mark (for heat embossing)

Accessories

  • eyelet border punch, Iridescent Ice embossing powder, heat tool, Big Shot, Finial Press inpressions folder, Clear Rhinestone brads, dimensionals

For the sparkly butterflies I stamped them first and then pressed the front of the image onto a versa mark pad, covered with iridescent ice embossing powder and hit it with the heat tool. They really sparkle! I also popped them up on dimensionals. A super fun sketch to work with this week! Enjoy the rest of your night. I am going to watch Survivor!
