Love the SCS Weekly Sketch Challenge

Tomorrow is my friend's husband's birthday. I have been way under the weather for the past few weeks so I was gonna just give him a card from my stash, but when I logged into SCS today and took a look at the Sketch challenge I knew that I could handle a quick card made special just for him.

He's not a particularly serious guy, so I used one of my fave stamps by American Art Stamp. I colored in the image using blender pens and ink from the tops of my SU ink pads. I followed the sketch exactly which always makes it easier to make a card quickly. This only took me about 20 mins. The base is SU True Thyme cs and the decorative paper is from the DCWV Old World Stack. The textured DCWV yellow cs was run through my Cuttlebug using the Birthday embossing folder. I just love my Cuttlebug!! I sanded it with a sanding block and mounted it on SU Blue Bayou cs. I distressed all the edges except for the layers that are stamped, but I did sponge them. I hope he like it!! And I am proud of myself for posting to my blog again this week!!! WhoooHooo!! I am on a roll!! See all the rests of my card deets below and thanks for checking out my new blog!

Paper: SU True Thyme, Blue Bayou, Whisper White, DCWV textured yellow cs and Old World Stack dp
