SSC #259 Simple Father's Day

Howdy All!
Here is another quick post with a fast and easy Father's Day card using this week's Saturday Sketch Challenge #259 over at the Stamping 411 blog.

This card seriously only took me 15 minutes to make. I love the clean lines and the partially stamped images. So often we think that an image has to be stamped completely and centered on our piece of cardstock. Silly, I know!
Here is my complete supply list (all products are Stampin' Up!):

STAMPS: Totally Tool (sadly this set is now retired), Itty Bitty Banners, Woodgrain

PAPER:  Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand, Always Artichoke, Whisper White

INK:  Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke

THE REST:  Circle punches, ribbon (retired), Hemp Twine (retired), Bitty Banners Framelits

Okey-dokey! That's all for now!
Thanks a bunch for stoppin' by!
See you again soon.

Mojo Monday Sketch #244

Howdy All! I finally got to this week's Mojo Monday Sketch challenge. I actually meant to make this card earlier in the week for my niece's birthday tomorrow, but since I didn't get to it until today, I had to make it a belated birthday card. I knew I wanted to use this cute snail from the Easy Events stamp set, so I grabbed a scrap piece of retired dsp and got to work. It only took me about 15 minute to put this together. I love when that happens!

THE REST:  Circle punch and die,NEW! Chevron embossing folder, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch, ribbon

I think it turned out super cute!

Mojo Monday Sketch #240

Howdy All! Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mom's out there!

I know I have been missing the past few weeks. I've been kinda hit and miss when it comes to posting to my blog. I just get so wrapped up in all of my projects that by the time I should be on my computer uploading photos and such I am just too tired! I am sure that many of you know exactly what I am talking about! I do so appreciate all of you who stop by and check out what I have been up to. So, today I have my card that I created a few days ago for the Mojo Monday weekly sketch challenge. I love having a starting point, such as a sketch, to get my creative juices flowing. I am still in love with this dsp from sale-a-bration! I have 3 packs of it, that's how much I love it! I am not sure if I will send this card to someone personally or put it in my pile of cards to send to the troops through OWH. Here is my complete supply list (all products are SU!):

STAMPS:  an incentive stamp that I LOVE that is no longer available

PAPER:  Lucky Limeade, Peach Parfait, Pool Party, Very Vanilla, Everyday Enchantment dsp

INK: Poppy Parade

THE REST:  Everyday Enchantment ribbon, basic rhinestones, punches, dies and bigshot

I am sad to see the 2010-2012 in colors  go, like Peach Parfait and Poppy Parade, but there are some wonderful New in colors coming in June! I can't wait!

Thanks a bunch for stoppin' by! See you again real soon!
Hugs!

Cupcake Throne Class

Howdy All!

I've got a fun project for you today! A couple of weeks ago I held a class at my house and we made these cute cupcake holders with matching cards. One of my girlfriends asked me to do this class as she saw them on Pinterest and didn't know how to make them. I did find one tutorial online but I didn't like it because you needed to use an 8&1/2" x 11" and a 12" x 12' pieces of cardstock. So I came up with my own template using just 1 sheet of 8&1/2' x 11" cardstock.

So, Here is a copy of my template and also some photos of the process to assemble the box.
Using my Simply Scored tool made prepping for my class quick and easy!

I hope these pics are useful for anyone who may want to try making one of these cute cupcake thrones for a friend or loved one! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a comment.

Thanks a bunch for stoppin' by! I hope to see you again real soon!
