CC279 Bears and Boys

Good afternoon All,
It's been over a week since I have sat down and created anything. I guess I have been feeling a little Mojoless as I go into my fave space in my whole house (which is my crafting area) and I just sit and look around at all my stuff that I love and feel like I've got nothing!! Ever felt that way? But I went to SCS and decided to check out the Tuesday Color Challenge and I just couldn't resist such a fun combo! I've also been looking for an organization that I could wrap my arms around and contribute to and I came across Operation Write Home while flipping through my PaperCrafts magazine. check out their wonderful website here. So as I make cards for personal use I plan on making doubles so I can get a box together to send to OWH! Here is my supply list for these two cuties:

STAMPS: Under The Stars, Occasional Quotes (SU!); You are Special sentiment by Inkadinkado

PAPER: Cherry Cobbler, Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist, Whisper White (SU!); designer paper (Making Memories)

INK and MARKERS: SU!

THE REST: Wild Wasabi double stitched ribbon (retired), Crystal Effects, Dimensionals (SU!);

These are great cards for little boys, don't ya think?

Well, that's it for now. I am digging this week's Mojo Monday sketch and today's Sketch Challenge 289 at SCS so maybe I will stay down in my craft room and create some more! Thanks a bunch for stoppin' by!!

Home Decor Altered Key Holder

Good Evening All,
I wanted to show you these pics of this altered key holder that I made. I have been seriously working on it for about 2 weeks. It was one of those projects that while I had a picture in my head of what I wanted to do it was more difficult getting the right combination of elements!! lol!
I found this key holder plaque on a clearance shelf in TJ Max or Marshalls for $5. It was kinda beat up and it was mauve and off white in color with a picture of a rowboat in the top. It also had white hooks that were attached crooked so I replace them. I repainted the frame with several coats of brown and black acrylic paint and added 2 coats of matte finish Krylon spray. I used lots of different company products, too many to try and list them all. The 1st and 3rd sentiment stamps are from SU! and the middle is from CTMH. I used BasicGrey's Origins collection designer paper. Cardstock was from my scrap pile. Most of the punches and diecuts are from SU!, Marvy, and Spellbinders. I will be hanging this in my kitchen on the wall next to the door that leads to my laundry room and garage. I am super please with how it turned out and that it is finally finished!!
Thanks so much for stoppin' by!
